Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox is a fantastic group (is group the right word?) but every now and then Scott feature artists that are downright mindblowing.
The song they released this week features Caroline Baran, who is just 15 years old. Her voice is absolutely stunning. While I’m not a huge fan of the original version of this song, I could listen to this one all day.

I’ve been listening to a lot of Tracy Chapman lately for the same exact reason.

Sounds like it came straight from a James Bond movie soundtrack.

That woman is 15 years old?

Truthfully, I always have to cringe a little when I see the “child prodigies”. They’re not old enough for their voices to have developed to sing like that, and often end up ruining their voice by the time they reach adulthood. She may be just old enough to avoid it, but likely not.

She reminds me of Joss Stone.

Yes! I got to see them in Nashville and it was an incredible show. Are there any particular songs you consider your favorite?
